ADDUCTOR BREVIS 2

The adductor brevis is a short, triangular muscle behind and above the adductor longus.

Origin

The adductor brevis originates on the ramus of the pubis.

Insertion

It inserts on the upper half of the linea aspera of the femur.

Function

The adductor muscles (adductor longus, brevis, and magnus, and the gracilis) are involved in hip joint adduction.
